American researchers have invented a test that can determine Alzheimer's disease at home in just a quarter of an hour. This possibility allows you to prescribe the necessary treatment at an early stage, thereby slowing the development of this disease. The test contains a combination of a number of questions of varying complexity, allowing you to check memory, language vocabulary, logical thinking and spatial abilities. The test was tested on more than a thousand people over 50 years old. The results showed that 20% of respondents had impaired cognitive skills and a slight loss of intellectual abilities.
However, it should be noted that this test is not a way to determine the disease as such. With it, doctors can only determine cognitive indicators, analysis of which can help decide whether to start treatment. Doctors especially stipulate: it is impossible to make diagnoses yourself in any case.
