American researchers in the course of the research came to an interesting conclusion, as it turned out, regular visits to the gym and pool can increase the likelihood of conceiving a child for women.
The study, conducted in Denmark, was attended by 3.5 thousand women 18-40 years old, who planned pregnancy. In the course of the experiment, about 70% of the women in the experimental group managed to become pregnant.
At the same time, researchers recorded and then analyzed information not only about the state of health of women volunteers, but also about their physical activity. The main conclusion that the experts made was the following: women who became pregnant constantly experienced not strong, but prolonged physical exertion in the fresh air. These were, above all, cycling and walks in the garden.
The final analysis of the data led to the conclusion that prolonged and not too burdensome physical exertion (about five hours a week) increases the likelihood of conceiving a child by 18%. Comparisons were made with a similar group of women who, however, experienced physical exertion for only one hour per week.
However, long-term and intensive sports, such as jogging, for example, reduce the possibility of conceiving a child by 32%. Thus, we can conclude that women planning pregnancy are recommended to have limited but regular physical activity.
